Job summary

Cloudflare seeks a Customer Engineer to be a trusted advisor, owning the technical relationship from discovery through adoption and expansion. This quota-carrying role sits in the GTM organization, using AI-augmented workflows to reduce admin toil and focus on architecture design and measurable business outcomes across the customer journey.

You will partner with Account Executives to demonstrate value, align platform capabilities with customer goals, and drive retention and cross-sell

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering.
• Broad technical expertise across web security, networking, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise architecture.
• Proven track record in quota-carrying or revenue-aligned roles with SaaS metrics.
• Strong presentation and stakeholder management skills bridging technical details with C-suite strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and build bespoke architectures with PoCs.
• Maintain deep relationships with key stakeholders through onboarding, renewal and expansion.
• Align customer goals with product roadmap throughout the lifecycle.
• Carry a variable quota tied to new business and account growth; lead QBRs.
• Leverage AI-augmented workflows to automate routine tasks.
