Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a Senior Customer Engineer to act as a trusted technical advisor from discovery through long-term adoption and account expansion. You will partner with Account Executives to own discovery, demos, onboarding, technical health, risk management, and expansion strategy.

You will lead AI-augmented workflows to automate routine tasks, enabling a focus on high-value architectural design and measurable business outcomes across the customer journey.

Qualifications

• Experience in a customer-facing technical role (Solutions Engineering, Customer Engineering, Sales Engineering or Forward Deployed Engineer).
• Broad technical expertise spanning web security, networking, cloud infrastructure and enterprise architecture.
• Commercial mindset with quota-bearing or revenue-focused experience and SaaS metrics.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, bridging technical details to C-suite strategy.

Responsibilities

• Technical Validation: lead discovery, build bespoke architectures, deliver product demos and PoCs across Cloudflare’s portfolio.
• Customer Adoption & Value Realization: oversee onboarding, health, risk, and expansion strategy with Account Executives.
• Commercial Accountability & Expansion: manage a quota and drive platform adoption, revenue retention, and cross-sell opportunities; run QBRs.
• Trusted Advisory: maintain ongoing relationships with key stakeholders from onboarding to renewal and expansion.
• AI Orchestration & Workflow Automation: leverage AI agents to automate routine tasks and focus on strategic advisory.
