Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a Senior Technician, a seasoned heavy equipment mechanic specializing in modernization and repair of cranes. The role includes on-site troubleshooting, maintenance, upgrades, and leading field technicians, while serving as the liaison between management and customers.

The position requires safety-first conduct and the ability to work after hours and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

The candidate has 5–7 years of crane repair and maintenance experience.
3–4 years of electrical and/or mechanical experience acceptable in lieu of crane repair experience.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Commitment to safety and the ability to work at heights.
Ability to communicate well and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

On-call availability and after-hours service as required.
Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field.
Train and mentor field technicians.
Perform inspections and generate inspection reports and repair orders.
Coordinate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule work.
Consult with customers on repair and safety issues; recommend improvements.
Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets in safe condition.
Operate tools and vehicles safely; report deficiencies.
Maintain supplies in the company vehicle and work with team to complete tasks.
