Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc is seeking a Senior Technician to specialize in modernization and repair of cranes. You will lead field technicians, liaise with management and customers, and provide after-hours and weekend service as needed in a safety-first environment.

The role requires extensive crane repair experience, on-call flexibility, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team while maintaining equipment and documenting inspections.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of crane repair & maintenance experience.
• 3-4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience in lieu of crane repair & maintenance.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willing to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills to use web-based crane inspection programs.
• Able to communicate well with others and work independently or as a team.
• Knowledge of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Be on-call and provide after-hours services as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA-required hoist and crane inspections and generate inspection reports.
• Communicate with Service Manager and Branch Manager to schedule daily work.
• Consult with customers regarding repairs and safety issues and provide recommendations.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicles and assets in safe working order.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely and report deficiencies to supervisor.
• Attend trainings and seminars and participate in company programs.
