Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group Inc. seeks a Senior Technician to lead crane modernization, repair, and maintenance in customer sites. The role requires field leadership, problem solving, and strong safety practices in a 24/7 service environment.

The technician will troubleshoot and upgrade hoists and cranes, train junior staff, and coordinate with service and branch managers to plan daily work. Occasional travel and after-hours work are expected.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years crane repair and maintenance experience.
• 3-4 years electrical and/or mechanical experience as an alternative.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work off the ground at various heights.
• Basic computer skills for web-based crane inspection programs.
• Ability to communicate well and work independently or in a team.
• Knowledge of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• On-call and after-hours service as required.
• Troubleshoot, repair, inspect, and upgrade industrial hoists and cranes in the field.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA crane inspections and generate reports and repair orders.
• Coordinate with Service Manager for daily scheduling.
• Consult with customers on repair and safety issues.
• Maintain company equipment, vehicle, and assets.
• Operate tools and vehicles safely; report deficiencies.
• Maintain supplies and materials in the vehicle for field work.
• Attend trainings and seminars and participate in the HCSG 5 Marks program.
• Other duties as assigned.
