Job summary

Hoist & Crane Service Group is seeking a Senior Technician to service, modernize, and repair cranes in the field. The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to mentor field technicians as a liaison between management and customers.

On-call, overtime, and travel are common to meet customer needs in a 24/7 service environment. The candidate will troubleshoot, inspect, and upgrade hoists and cranes, perform safety inspections, and maintain company equipment while working

Qualifications

• 5-7 years crane repair & maintenance experience.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Willingness to work at heights and in a safety-focused environment.
• Basic computer skills for crane inspection programs.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Knowledge of hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to be on-call and provide after hour services as required.
• Troubleshooting, repairing, inspecting, and upgrading industrial hoists and cranes in the field at customer locations.
• Train and mentor field technicians.
• Perform OSHA required hoist and crane inspections and generating inspection reports and repair orders.
• Communicate with the Service Manager and Branch Manager during the day so that work can be scheduled and completed on a daily basis.
• Consult with customers regarding all repair and safety related issues and discuss recommendations that will assist the customer with improving their services.
• Maintain all company issued equipment, vehicle, and assets in a safe and proper working order.
• Operate tools, equipment, and vehicles in a safe and responsible manner. Notify immediate supervisor of any deficiencies.
• Maintain supply of HCSG forms and miscellaneous materials in the company vehicle.
• Maintain the ability to work with others in team environment.
• Attend company provided trainings and seminars as required.
• Participate in HCSG 5 Marks program
• Other duties as assigned
