Job summary

EDF power solutions North America seeks an experienced legal professional to draft and negotiate complex EPC, BoP, and procurement agreements for utility-scale wind, solar, storage, and transmission projects. The role involves leading major contract negotiations, integrating risk and compliance language, and coordinating with internal teams and external counsel.

The position can be based in multiple North America locations, including the USA or Canada, with flexible work arrangements.

Qualifications

• JD or LLB from US or Canada with bar eligibility.
• Current bar license from one or more US or Canadian jurisdictions.
• Typically ten (10) years or more of law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Experience with a renewable energy company and/or renewable energy clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads negotiations, drafting and critical review of EPC, BoP, Early Work, HV, and related construction agreements.
• Leads negotiations and drafting of solar module sale agreements, BESS, Tracker, Inverter, MPT, Breaker, and related procurement agreements.
• Leads negotiations, drafting and critical review of long-term service agreements for BESS, TSAs, and O&M Agreements.
• Develops and reviews Master Framework Agreements for Construction, Procurement, Service and Ancillary Agreements.
• Ensures compliance language and risk considerations are integrated into all agreement templates and RFP responses.
• Supports internal clients through due diligence for project debt/equity financing and related contracts.
• Provides training and guidance to internal teams and manages outside counsel as needed.
