Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking an experienced in-house or law-firm lawyer to lead the negotiation and drafting of construction, procurement, and service agreements for utility-scale wind, solar, and storage projects across the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. The role involves complex contract review, risk assessment, and close collaboration with project teams.

You will advise internal clients on applicable laws and compliance, manage external counsel, and help shape standard templates

Qualifications

• Typically, ten+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience.
• Current bar license in one or more U.S. or Canadian jurisdictions.
• J.D. or LL.B. from an accredited law school in the U.S. or Canada.
• Experience managing external counsel.
• Experience with renewable energy clients is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads negotiations, drafting and review of EPC, BoP, Early Work, HV, and related construction agreements.
• Leads negotiations on solar module sale agreements, BESS, trackers, inverters, MPTs, breakers, TSAs, etc.
• Leads long-term service and operation/maintenance agreements for energy assets.
• Prepares and updates contract templates and forms; provides internal legal counsel and training.
