Job summary

EDF power solutions North America is seeking a skilled Counsel to manage corporate governance, procurement, and construction contracts for renewable energy projects across North America. You will handle M&A activity, project finance documents, offtake and interconnection agreements, and advise on regulatory matters to support development through commercial operation.

Ideal candidates have a JD/LLB, active bar admission, 3+ years in law firm or in-house, and a track record drafting complex

Qualifications

• JD/LLB from ABA-accredited or Canadian law school; active bar admission.
• Minimum 3 years of law firm and/or in-house experience; 5+ years preferred.
• Experience drafting, negotiating, and reviewing complex renewable energy project documents (PPAs, tax equity, interconnection, ISO/RTO tariffs).
• Experience with M&A transactions, joint ventures, and project financing.”

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations, drafting, and review of commercial contracts, M&A agreements, project debt finance documents, offtake and interconnection agreements.
• Provide counsel on corporate and regulatory matters to cross-functional stakeholders.
• Manage internal and external counsel to support compliance initiatives and transaction execution.
• Lead training on company policies and regulatory requirements for North America employees.
• Support and contribute to federal and state regulatory strategy and guidance.
