Job summary

EDF power solutions North America seeks a Counsel to manage corporate governance, procurement, and M&A matters. The role focuses on negotiating service agreements, NDAs, and project contracts for renewable energy developments, with exposure to finance, permitting, and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has a JD, active bar admission in the US, and 3+ years of experience in energy transactions or corporate practice, with a preference for renewables background.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and active US bar admission.
• Minimum 3 years law firm or in-house experience; 5+ preferred.
• Renewable energy project document experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting and review of commercial contracts and M&A documents.
• Provide legal guidance to cross-functional stakeholders on transactions.
• Oversee due diligence for project debt financing and equity financing.
• Supervise outside counsel and manage internal compliance initiatives.
• Lead training on company policies for North America employees.
• Support regulatory strategy and state/federal compliance.
