Job summary

Colliers International is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator to support a large multinational client within Enterprise Project Management. The role focuses on developing and maintaining cost management processes, guiding project managers on budgets and identifying cost risks across the project life cycle.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in construction management or engineering with 10+ years in cost estimating, and have hands-on BIM/CostX experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering or related discipline required.
• 10+ years of experience in cost estimating and management (pre-contract and post-contract) required.
• Special knowledge in cost benchmarks for industrial buildings and factors influencing costs.
• Ability to review and challenge cost plans with accuracy.
• Knowledge of contract types (pre-construction partnering, Design-Bid-Build, Design & Build, Open Book) and international project experience.
• Proficiency with MS Office and BIM/cost databases; experience with CostX or similar tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain processes for effective cost management across projects.
• Support PMs and the real estate team in defining budgets based on project requirements, procurement strategy and contracts.
• Identify significant cost risks and develop mitigation measures in collaboration with project teams.
• Provide cost estimates at all project stages from preliminary to detailed level.
• Evaluate cost control effectiveness and review forecasts to protect budget and cash-out plans.
• Assist with value engineering, price and claim negotiations with contractors when needed.
• Collaborate closely with Project Managers to deliver projects on time and within budget.
