Job summary

Lob seeks a Corporate Counsel to lead drafting and negotiation of complex commercial agreements for enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts. You’ll advise Product and Engineering, navigate regulatory, IP, and contractual frameworks to support go-to-market launches.

You’ll shape our data privacy strategy, translate GDPR/CCPA into actionable practices, run impact assessments, and oversee compliance programs while enabling scalable legal workflows across Lob’s operations and partner

Qualifications

5–7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house.
J.D. from an accredited law school; active state bar membership.
Experience with enterprise SaaS, data privacy, and regulatory matters.
Ability to manage high volumes of work and translate complex concepts.
Counseling People/HR on employment lifecycle and third-party risk.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS and vendor contracts.
Advise Product and Engineering teams through the product lifecycle, navigating regulatory, IP, and contractual frameworks.
Contribute to data privacy strategy, translate GDPR/CCPA into operational practices, conduct impact assessments.
Oversee corporate compliance programs, internal policies, training, and vendor audits.
Develop scalable legal workflows and self-service templates to accelerate execution.
Partner with the General Counsel on special projects and broader strategic initiatives.
