Job summary

Lob is expanding its legal team and seeks a Corporate Counsel to partner with Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Partner Operations. You will draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements, advise on product development, data privacy, and regulatory matters, and help scale the company’s legal operations.

This role offers remote opportunities and a competitive equity/benefits package. Ideal candidates have 5–7+ years in-house experience, a JD, bar admission, and a strong SaaS background.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active state bar membership.
• Experience handling enterprise SaaS contracts and partnerships.
• Familiar with privacy/data protection frameworks and regulatory issues.
• Experience advising HR/People teams and handling equity programs.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements (SaaS, partnerships, vendor).
• Advise Product and Engineering on lifecycle from development to go-to-market with regulatory and IP considerations.
• Drive data privacy program efforts, DPA negotiations, and impact assessments.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs and internal policy training.
• Create scalable legal workflows, templates, and playbooks with cross-functional teams.
• Support General Counsel on special projects and strategic initiatives.
