Job summary

Lob is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. This role partners with Revenue, Product, Engineering, and Partner Operations to advise on complex commercial agreements and regulatory matters, with a hands-on approach to scalable legal workflows.

You will lead end-to-end contract work, support data privacy efforts under GDPR/CCPA, and help scale Lob's go-to-market initiatives while maintaining compliance and risk management in a fast-paced, remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for in-house experience.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
• Familiar with enterprise SaaS legal risks and business issues.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work autonomously and translate legal concepts into business advice.

Responsibilities

• Lead drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering on product development lifecycle, regulatory, IP, and contracts for go-to-market launches.
• Contribute to data privacy strategy by translating GDPR/CCPA into actionable practices and negotiating data processing agreements.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, internal policies, training, and vendor audits to embed standards.
• Develop scalable legal workflows and templates to accelerate execution, partnering with GC on strategic initiatives.
