Job summary

Lob is seeking an experienced Corporate Counsel in the United States to lead end‑to‑end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements across enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.

You will advise Product and Engineering through the entire development lifecycle, navigate regulatory, IP, and contractual frameworks, and contribute to the company’s data privacy program with DPA negotiations and impact assessments.

Qualifications

• 5-7+ years of relevant legal experience, preferably in-house.
• J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar admission in good standing.
• Experience with enterprise SaaS, regulatory, IP, and contracts.
• Experience advising HR and handling corporate litigation or pre-litigation matters with outside counsel.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering teams through the product development lifecycle, addressing regulatory, IP, and contractual aspects.
• Contribute to the data privacy program by translating frameworks (GDPR, CCPA) into actionable practices and negotiating DPAs.
• Oversee compliance programs, create internal policies, and lead vendor audits to embed standards.
• Develop scalable legal workflows, self‑service templates, and cross‑functional playbooks to accelerate execution.
• Partner with the General Counsel to support special projects and strategic initiatives to operate and scale Lob.
