Lob is transforming how businesses use direct mail with a modern logistics and fulfillment engine. We seek a Corporate Counsel to draft and negotiate complex agreements, advise Product and Engineering, and lead privacy initiatives in a fast‑paced, scale‑up environment.

The role requires strong in‑house experience, JD, and a track record of managing high‑volume work, with a focus on SaaS and data privacy across our enterprise ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant legal experience, with a strong preference for in‑house.
• JD from an accredited law school and active membership in a state bar.
• Familiar with legal risks in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Ability to manage a high volume of work autonomously and translate complex concepts into practical business advice.
• Experience advising People/HR on employment lifecycle matters and managing litigation or pre‑litigation matters with outside counsel.
• Experience supporting SaaS platforms connected with physical products.
• Experience supporting supply chain operations, including logistics and shipping.
• Experience managing capitalization tables and equity programs using Carta.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end drafting, review, and negotiation of complex commercial agreements including enterprise SaaS, partnerships, and vendor contracts.
• Advise Product and Engineering teams throughout product development lifecycle, navigating regulatory, IP, and contractual frameworks for go‑to‑market launches.
• Advance data privacy by translating GDPR/CCPA into operational practices, conducting DPIAs, and leading DPA negotiations.
• Oversee corporate compliance programs, establish internal policies and targeted training, and conduct vendor audits to embed standards.
• Develop scalable legal workflows, self‑service templates, and cross‑functional playbooks to speed execution.
• Collaborate with the General Counsel on special projects and broader strategic initiatives to operate and scale Lob.
