ABB Inc. is seeking a seasoned in-house counsel to provide strategic legal guidance across commercial, regulatory, and risk areas for global EPC projects. You will lead contract negotiations, manage cross-functional risks, and uphold integrity standards within ABB.

Reporting to the MONM Division General Counsel, this remote US-based role collaborates with regional and global legal teams to protect ABB's interests and drive compliant, pragmatic solutions.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate with active bar admission and 10+ years PQE in international commercial and regulatory matters.
• Expertise in contract law and negotiations including EPC/project contracts, distribution, government contracting, IP and digital law.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills to manage multiple priorities and deliver practical solutions.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative mindset with experience across cross-country, multicultural settings.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently while supporting strategic initiatives.
• Generalist capable of juggling project work across BA/Division/Support functions.
• Candidates must have US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support for project activities, including EPC contracts from tender through negotiation, execution, dispute resolution, and closure.
• Advise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
• Manage legal risk across competition law, data privacy (GDPR), product liability, employment, investigations, and litigation support with global teams.
• Contribute to integrity initiatives and broader legal projects, supporting investigations and policy adherence.
