Job summary

ABB Motion seeks a senior in-house attorney to provide strategic legal advice across EPC and project contracts, regulatory matters, and governance. You will partner with commercial, sales, finance, HR, EHS, and supply chain teams to protect ABB's interests while managing complex multi-jurisdictional risk.

The role requires a US-licensed JD with 10+ years PQE, strong negotiation skills, and ability to work remotely for a global leader in energy and automation.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission and 10+ years PQE.
• Expertise in contract law and negotiation across EPC/project contracts, distribution, government contracting, IP, and digital law.
• Strong organizational and analytical skills with ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
• Proactive, adaptable and collaborative, with cross-country/multicultural experience and stakeholder influence.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently while supporting strategic initiatives and compliance.
• Generalist able to juggle multiple priorities across projects and divisions; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support for project business activities, including EPC contracts from tender through negotiation, execution, dispute resolution, and closure.
• Advise and collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
• Manage legal risk across competition law, data privacy, product liability, employment, investigations, and litigation support in partnership with global teams.
• Contribute to integrity initiatives and participate in regional and global Legal & Integrity teams.
