Job summary

ABB is seeking a senior in-house lawyer to provide strategic legal advice and uphold high integrity standards. The role focuses on compliance, contract negotiation, and risk management across international matters, reporting to the MONM Division General Counsel.

The position is remote in the United States with eligible incentive pay. Candidates must have a US JD, bar admission, and 10+ PQE, and be capable of leading cross-functional teams across regions while navigating complex regulatory

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited U.S. law school with active bar admission and PQE.
• Expertise in contract law and negotiation, including EPC/project contracts, distribution agreements, government contracting, IP, and digital law (SaaS, cybersecurity, data privacy).
• Strong organizational/analytical skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and assess risk.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end legal support for project business activities from tender through closure.
• Advise with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and protect company interests.
• Manage legal risk across competition law, data privacy (GDPR), product liability, employment, investigations and litigation support.
• Contribute to integrity initiatives and broader legal projects.
