Job summary

OBR Cooling Towers is seeking a Service Superintendent to oversee cooling tower service, preventative maintenance, and repairs, ensuring work is performed safely, on time, and to OBR quality standards. You will lead crews, coordinate with clients, and collaborate with engineering and management to exceed customer expectations.

The role requires travel, strong leadership, and a commitment to safety and project excellence across diverse sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience in cooling tower services.
• Knowledge of Windows-based applications.
• OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• TWIC card and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices; stop work if unsafe conditions arise.
• Interface with clients and oversee all aspects of service projects.
• Supervise, mentor, and train field technicians, Foremen, Leadmen, and crews.
• Conduct safety orientations and enforce OSHA standards.
• Manage service materials, equipment rentals, and job supplies.
• Oversee service processes, subcontractor progress, and project schedules.
• Prepare service and time reports; complete job closeout documentation.
• Monitor budgets, profitability, and adherence to scope and specifications.
• Lead pre-service meetings and coordinate with supervisory, engineering, and supplier personnel to resolve issues.
• Contribute to bid strategies, project planning, and problem-solving.
• Plan and manage projects ranging from inspections to large, complex jobs.
• Travel to job sites as required.
• Maintain accessibility by phone/email outside normal hours and monitor weekends for urgent matters.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
