Your Talent Team in Wyoming, MI is seeking a Controls Engineer II to own full lifecycle automation projects for custom systems. You will design, program, test, and commission controls, integrating robotics and vision systems while following safety and electrical standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in electrical engineering, 5+ years in automation, and Rockwell/AB knowledge; travel up to 15% is expected. Competitive salary and benefits offered.

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 5+ years designing and programming industrial automation systems.
• Experience with NEC/NFPA 79/RIA TR R15.06.
• Rockwell/Allen-Bradley Studio 5000 and FactoryTalk View required.
• AutoCAD Electrical proficiency.
• Robot brand experience (FANUC/ABB/Yaskawa/KUKA) preferred.
• Strong root-cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Travel up to 15% domestically & internationally.

Responsabilidades

• Controls Architecture: build machine control software architectures with PLCs and HMI.
• Integrate robotics, vision systems, drives, and servo applications into control logic.
• Configure networks (DeviceNet, Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Profinet) interfaces.
• Create electrical layouts, panels, and BOMs with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Draft pneumatic and hydraulic schematics and I/O maps.
• Robot programming: develop paths and offline programming.
• Lead engineering standards and reusable libraries.
• Review customer specs to ensure hardware and logic meet requirements.
• Coordinate system integration, debugging, and on-site startup.
• Provide client training and handover documentation.
• Conduct safety assessments and ensure compliance.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
