Job summary

Professional Recruiting Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Controls Engineer II in Wyoming, MI. The role covers full lifecycle engineering of custom automation, from concept through programming, integration, debugging, and on-site commissioning.

You will work with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, AutoCAD Electrical, and robotics; travel up to 15% to customer sites is expected. A strong foundation in electrical design and safety is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years designing, building, and programming automation systems.
• Familiar with NEC, NFPA 79, and RIA TR 15.06 electrical codes.
• Experience with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms is required; other platforms preferred.
• Proficient in AutoCAD Electrical and robot integration experience desired.
• Willing to travel up to 15% domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

• Design and program control architectures for machines and processes.
• Integrate robotics, vision, drives, and servo systems into control logic.
• Develop electrical panels, schematics, BOMs using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Coordinate on-site commissioning and customer training support.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure safety compliance.
