Job summary
Talent Solutions Partners is seeking a Controls Engineer II in Wyoming, MI to own the full engineering lifecycle for custom automation projects. You will design controls architectures, program PLCs and HMI, integrate robotics, and lead on-site commissioning with cross‑functional teams.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in a technical field and 5+ years of automation experience, with travel up to 15%. Strong knowledge of NEC/NFPA 79 and Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley platforms is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required.
- 5+ years designing and programming custom industrial automation systems.
- Experience with NEC/NFPA 79 and RIA TR R15.06 electrical codes.
- Competence with Rockwell/Allen‑Bradley platforms and AutoCAD Electrical.
- Experience with major robotics brands is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead controls architecture and programming for machine control software.
- Integrate robotics, vision, VFDs, and servo systems into control logic.
- Design electrical panels and I/O maps using AutoCAD Electrical.
- Coordinate on-site commissioning and customer training.
