Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Construction, to partner with agents and brokers for coverage of new and renewal business. You will independently assess complex risk and drive profitability in challenging markets, while collaborating across internal teams and external partners to meet sales goals.

Ideal candidates bring 6–8 years of underwriting experience in construction risk, CPCU designation, and a proven track record in negotiation and relationship

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience in construction risk or oil & gas.
• Deep knowledge of construction risk, regulatory environment, and local market.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans in partnership with the Managing Director.
