Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Managing Account Executive, Construction, to lead a small team of Account Executives and drive profitable growth for a diverse book of construction accounts. You will underwrite, negotiate, and build client relationships with agents and brokers across the region, travel as needed, and collaborate with internal partners to shape sales plans.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with construction risk or oil & gas.
• CPCU designation desirable or required.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth and retention of an assigned book while leading a small team of Account Executives.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-selling opportunities.
• Maintain external relationships with agents/brokers; travel for meetings.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the MD to shape regional sales strategies.
• Coach, train and manage performance of the assigned team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
