Job summary

Travelers in the United States is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Construction, to partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business across Guaranteed Cost and Loss Sensitive accounts. This is a technical, relationship-driven role demanding independent risk assessment and effective collaboration with internal and external partners.

Travel is required for meetings with agents and brokers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience, with construction risk or oil and gas experience.
• CPCU designation is preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Willingness to travel for meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business (Guaranteed Cost and Loss Sensitive).
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal and external partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Travel to meetings with agents and brokers to market and sell Travelers products.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with the Managing Director to meet region goals.
• Mentor less experienced Account Executives as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
