Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 6–8 years of underwriting experience with construction loss sensitive.
• Deep knowledge of construction loss sensitive products and local market.
• Strong critical thinking and risk/financial analysis.
• Excellent negotiation skills with agents and brokers.
• CPCU designation.

Responsibilities

• Underwrite casualty programs for large construction projects (Wrap Ups, Joint Ventures, Project Specific placements).
• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book.
• Negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD and regional plans.
• Foster relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross‑selling opportunities.
• Travel to meet agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities with consultative marketing and sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
