Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Construction to partner with agents and brokers, providing coverage for new and renewal business across Guaranteed Cost and Loss Sensitive accounts. You will independently assess complex risk, negotiate terms, and drive profitability while managing key relationships within the unit and enterprise.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree, 6–8 years in underwriting (construction risk or oil & gas), and CPCU designation.

Qualifications

• Underwriting experience in construction risk or oil & gas.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to assess complex risk and make timely decisions.
• Experience building relationships with agents, brokers and internal partners.
• CPCU designation is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of a book of business (GC and Loss Sensitive).
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts.
• Develop sales plans with internal partners and MD guidance.
• Meet with agents/brokers to market Travelers products and write new business.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative selling.
• Develop agency sales plans and mentor junior staff.
