Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in Massachusetts is seeking an Account Executive Officer, Construction to partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business. This role is a technical resource, decisive and detail-oriented, with a focus on building relationships to drive results.

You will manage profitability, underwrite and negotiate complex accounts, cultivate internal and external partnerships, and travel regularly to meet with agents and brokers to market

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years underwriting experience in construction risk or oil and gas.
• Deep knowledge of construction risk or oil and gas products.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• CPCU designation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Meet regularly with agents/brokers in person to market Travelers products and grow the book.
• Develop agency sales plans with MD and mentor less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
