Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing environmental, safety, and health standards at the site level.

The role emphasizes construction safety expertise, ongoing professional development, and collaboration with the ESH Manager to ensure safe, compliant project execution across sites in New York. A strong safety background and commitment to continuous learning are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• OSHA 510 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction Industry certification.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED certification within the last two years.
• OSHA 30-hour construction training and Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety with project teams to deliver predictable outcomes.
• Monitor safety conditions and enforce OSHA and Layton policies at sites.
• Assist in investigating accidents and near misses with initial data collection.
• Support injury management and ensure timely medical care with ESH Manager.
• Conduct or assist site safety orientations and pre-construction safety briefings.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors on site.
