Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Senior Safety Coordinator to support project teams in the site-level implementation of environmental, safety, and health standards. The role requires a strong foundation in construction safety and a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities include promoting The Layton Way, enforcing OSHA standards, assisting in incident investigations, site safety orientations, pre-construction meetings, and safety training for workers and subcontractors,

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with minimum 3 years in construction or industrial health and safety
• OSHA 510 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for Construction Industry certification required
• First Aid, CPR, AED certification within last two years
• OSHA 30-hour Construction training completed
• STS certification completed
• Strong communication and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Promote safety standards and Layton Way for predictable outcomes
• Enforce OSHA and Layton policies at sites
• Support accident investigations and data collection
• Monitor workers’ compensation issues with ESH Manager
• Conduct site safety orientations and pre-construction safety meetings
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors
• Assist with injury management and safe medical care
• Carry out industrial hygiene surveys and respirator fit tests
• Support compliance with FMLA, ADA, and Workers’ Comp laws
• Participate in Safety Committee meetings
