Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior Quality Manager III to direct quality control across major programs, owning the site QMS and audit programs, and leading QC staff and audits. You will interact with owners and inspectors and ensure adherence to ISO/NQA-1 and DOT QA frameworks.

The role centers on building a robust QC organization, coordinating corrective actions, and guiding quality metrics to program leadership; travel may be required among project sites.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality, with 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• Experience with owner quality programs under ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT QA frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and hold it to the plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage, review performance, and develop staff.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits; own corrective-action program.
• Approve quality control plans, ITPs, and laboratory and inspection subcontractor qualifications; report quality metrics to program leadership monthly.
• When a nonconformance is serious enough to stop work, you make the call and you document why.
• Be the program's memory; ensure records stay consistent as staff rotate and owners change representatives.
