Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a senior Construction Quality Manager III to direct quality across a major program, owning the site quality management system, audit program, and the relationship with the owner's quality organization.

You will lead Quality Managers and inspectors, develop the QC staff, and coordinate audits with owners, agencies, and third parties while driving continuous improvement and compliance with ISO 9001, NQA-1, and DOT frameworks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality with 5+ years leading quality programs and staff.
• Experience with owner quality programs under ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT QA frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and keep it aligned with the plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain the program quality management system including plans, procedures, forms, and audits.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects and develop staff.
• Lead internal audits and coordinate owner, agency, and third-party audits.
• Own the corrective-action program; approve QC plans, ITPs, and subcontractor qualifications.
• Report quality metrics monthly to program leadership; manage NCR aging and audit findings.
• Coach the Quality Manager to lead preparatory meetings and ensure readiness.
• Make stop-work calls for serious nonconformances and document rationale.
• Maintain the program's memory as project teams change and specifications evolve.
