Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Quality Manager III to direct quality across a major program. You will own the site quality management system, audits, and the development of every QC person on the program, coordinating with owner quality organizations and auditors.

You will lead QC staff, manage audits, and ensure conformity with ISO 9001/NQA-1/DOT QA frameworks. The role involves travel to project sites and reporting to program leadership.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality.
• 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• USACE CQM-C or senior certification required.
• Experience with owner quality programs under ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT QA frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage and develop staff.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits; own corrective-action program.
• Approve quality control plans, ITPs, and laboratory and inspection subcontractor qualifications.
• Report quality metrics—test pass rates, NCR aging, audit findings—to program leadership monthly.
