Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Texas leads a major program as the Construction Quality Manager III, directing Quality Managers and inspectors. You own the site quality management system, the audit program, and the relationship with the owner's quality organization, developing every QC person on the program.

When an agency or owner audits the project, you are the person in the room. The role covers Texas-based sites with HQ in Sugar Land and travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality.
• 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• Certifications: ICC Special Inspector, NICET Level IV, or ASQ CQA/CMQ-OE.
• Experience with ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT QA frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage, review performance, and develop staff.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits.
• Own the corrective-action program; Approve quality control plans, ITPs, and laboratory and inspection subcontractor qualifications.
• Report quality metrics — test pass rates, NCR aging, audit findings — to program leadership monthly.
