Job summary

Construction Material Testing in Texas seeks a Construction Quality Manager III to direct quality across a major program, with Quality Managers and inspectors reporting to you. You own the site quality management system, the audit program, and the relationship with the owner's quality organization.

Texas-based role with Sugar Land HQ; travel to project sites as assigned. Pay ranges from $130,000 to $160,000, with certifications influencing assignments and responsibilities in audits and QC plan

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality, with 5+ years managing quality programs and staff.
• Senior certifications: ICC Special Inspector, NICET Level IV, or ASQ CQA/CMQ-OE.
• Experience with ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT quality assurance frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and maintain it.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule.
• Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage and review performance; develop staff.
• Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits; own corrective-action program.
• Approve QC plans, ITPs, and lab/inspection subcontractor qualifications; report metrics monthly.
• Serve as the program's memory, ensuring records remain consistent amid changes and rework.
