Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Construction Quality Manager III to direct quality across a major program, overseeing Quality Managers and inspectors, owning the site quality management system, the audit program, and the development of QC staff.

You will participate in audits with owners and agencies, approve QC plans, report metrics monthly, and drive corrective actions. Travel may be required; Texas sites are dispatched from Sugar Land HQ, others on a project basis.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in construction quality with 5+ years leading quality programs and staff.
• USACE CQM-C plus a senior certification: ICC special inspector (multiple categories), NICET Level IV, or ASQ CQA/CMQ-OE.
• Experience with owner quality programs under ISO 9001, NQA-1, or DOT quality assurance frameworks.
• Proven ability to build a QC organization on a new program and hold it to the plan.

Responsibilities

• Establish the program quality management system: plans, procedures, forms, and the audit schedule; Direct Quality Managers I and II across projects; set coverage, review performance, and develop staff; Lead internal audits and host owner, agency, and third-party audits; own the corrective-action program; Approve quality control plans, ITPs, and laboratory and inspection subcontractor qualifications; Report quality metrics — test pass rates, NCR aging, audit findings — to program leadership monthly.
• Pay runs $130,000 to $160,000 depending on certifications held, verified experience, and the program you are assigned to.
