Job summary

Travelers seeks an Account Executive Officer (AEO) in Construction Loss Sensitive to partner with agents and brokers, providing coverage for new and renewal business tailored to customers' needs. This role is a technical resource, requiring decisive, detail-oriented work and the ability to build relationships to drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience, construction loss sensitive.
• Strong critical thinking to identify challenges and make timely decisions.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills with agents/brokers.
• CPCU designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and cross-sell opportunities.
• Meet in person with agents/brokers to market and sell Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Identify new business opportunities using consultative sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans with MD for regional goals.
• May assist in training less experienced Account Executives.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
