Job summary

Travelers is seeking an Account Executive Officer for Construction Loss Sensitive to partner with agents and brokers, underwriting complex accounts to balance profitability and risk. This senior role emphasizes building strategic relationships, regional sales plans, and collaboration with internal teams to drive growth.

Ideal candidates bring extensive underwriting experience in construction loss sensitive products, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a CPCU designation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Six to eight years of underwriting experience with construction loss sensitive experience.
• CPCU designation preferred.
• Deep knowledge of construction loss sensitive products and local insurance market.
• Four years of underwriting, claim, operations, risk assessment, actuarial, sales, product, or finance experience is a must have.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate complex customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts within risk appetite.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans in partnership with MD to shape region/group plans.
• May assist in training and mentoring less experienced Account Executives.
