Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company in the United States is seeking an Account Executive (AE) for Construction Loss Sensitive to partner with agents and brokers to provide coverage for new and renewal business based on customers' needs. As an AE, you will be decisive, build relationships internally and externally to drive results, assess risk, and negotiate accounts to protect profitability.

Travel to client meetings is required, with opportunities to expand agency sales plans and cross-sell

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Three to five years of underwriting experience with construction loss sensitive background.
• Knowledge of construction loss sensitive products, the regulatory environment, and the local insurance market.
• CPCU designation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Manage profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
• Underwrite and negotiate customer accounts to minimize risk and maximize profitability.
• Cultivate relationships with internal partners to create sales plans and identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Meet with agents and brokers to market Travelers products and write/retain accounts according to risk appetite.
• Identify and capture new business opportunities using consultative marketing and sales skills.
• Develop and execute agency sales plans and region/group sales plans.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
