Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking a Technical Specialist to manage complex, high-exposure construction liability claims. You will leverage expertise in claims management, investigations, coverage evaluation and settlement negotiation to ensure timely, fair, and cost-effective resolutions.

You will also serve as a technical resource to customers and team members. The role requires five years of claims experience, strong analytical abilities, and fluency in insurance principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Five years of experience in insurance claims, preferably construction liability.
• Experience with claims management and software systems.
• Strong understanding of insurance principles and policy terminology.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven ability to handle complex claims and negotiate settlements.
• Exceptional customer service and a positive experience for insureds.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage a caseload of construction liability claims.
• Conduct investigations, policy review, liability and damages.
• Analyze contracts and exclusions to determine applicability.
• Maintain detailed claim documentation per protocols.
• Coordinate with internal teams and legal counsel.
• Mentor Claim Reps and Trainees sharing best practices.
