Job summary

Travelers in Las Vegas is seeking a Technical Specialist, Specialty Liability to manage and investigate moderate complexity injury and property damage claims. You will contact customers, determine coverage, evaluate liability, assess damages, establish reserves, and issue timely payments within authority.

You will mentor Claim Reps, collaborate with counsel on litigation strategies, maintain documentation in claims systems, and adapt to evolving AI-enabled processes while upholding service

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of liability or comparable claim experience.
• 2+ years of litigation claim experience.
• Active adjuster license where required by state law.
• Experience with claims management systems and enterprise tech.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to analyze complex situations and decide independently.
• Strong customer service and ability to manage difficult conversations.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills for high-volume workload.
• Proven conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims including litigation from first notice of loss through resolution within authority.
• Gather and investigate information to determine coverage, liability, and reserves.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers, counsel, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Coordinate resources to conduct thorough investigations and evaluations.
• Negotiate settlements and issue payments timely and accurately.
• Assist Counsel in supporting litigation management strategies.
• Maintain accurate claim activity records in systems.
• Identify areas to improve practices and propose creative solutions.
• Adapt to new technology implementations and digital tool rollouts.
• Acquire and maintain required Insurance Licenses within three months.
