Job summary

Travelers in the United States is seeking a Technical Specialist, Specialty Liability to manage injury and property damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution, including coverage evaluation and reserves.

You will communicate with customers, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders; leverage resolution strategies; and negotiate settlements within authority to ensure timely and accurate payments while mentoring junior claim staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher required.
• Three years of liability or bodily injury claim experience.
• Two years of litigation claim experience desired.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims from first notice of loss through resolution.
• Gather information, determine coverage, evaluate liability, and establish reserves.
• Negotiate settlements and issue timely payments within authority.
• Coordinate with counsel to support litigation management strategies.
• Maintain accurate records in claims systems and adapt to new technology tools.
