Job summary

Travelers is seeking a Sr Technical Specialist, Specialty Liability to manage complex injury and property damage claims through resolution with authority. You will investigate coverage, evaluate liability, establish reserves, and coordinate with counsel and stakeholders to achieve timely, fair outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have strong communication, negotiation, and analytical skills, plus the ability to mentor others and adapt to new technology, including AI tools, to improve claims

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and four years of bodily injury claim and litigation experience.
• Active adjuster license, where required by state law.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an active caseload of injury and/or property damage claims and litigation from first notice of loss through resolution within level of authority.
• Typically handle high complexity liability claims with coverage disputes and contractual indemnity issues.
• Gather and thoroughly investigate information to determine coverage and liability exposure.
• Provide timely, professional communication to customers, counsel, and internal stakeholders.
• Develop and execute advanced resolution strategies and coordinate resources for investigations and evaluations.
