Job summary

Linesight in Chicago is seeking a Senior Estimator to lead project estimates, coordinate with the project team and provide cost guidance to support value-driven decisions.

This role requires 10+ years in construction estimating, proficiency with Sage Timberline, InEight or CostX, and a construction-related degree. Chartered or pursuing certification (RICS/CEP/CPE) is a plus; strong communication and client relationship skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience in construction.
• Experience with Sage Timberline, InEight, or CostX.
• Construction-related degree.
• RICS, CEP, or CPE chartered or pursuing certification.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop the estimate plan and coordinate estimate development with the project team.
• Lead the development of the total project estimate.
• Prepare the total Project Basis of Estimate and the Estimate Risk Analysis, making cost contingency recommendations to the project team.
• Analyze and make recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization, project objectives and guidelines.
• Maintain a library of current local rates for use in all estimates.
