Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator to actively support project teams in implementing site-level environmental, safety, and health standards. The role requires a strong safety background and commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Responsibilities include enforcing OSHA standards, assisting with accident investigations, and delivering safety training. A BA/BS with 3+ years in construction safety and multiple certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• BA/BS preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or industrial health and safety programs.
• Certification in OSHA 510 – Occupational Safety and Health Standards for the Construction Industry.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED, with evidence within the last two years.
• Completed OSHA 30‑hour training for construction AND Safety Trained Supervisor (STS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to ensure effective safety, health, and environmental standards at the site level.
• Monitor safety conditions and enforce OSHA and company safety policies.
• Assist in investigating accidents and near misses and report findings.
• Support injury management and workers’ compensation information.
• Provide safety training to employees and subcontractors at sites.
