Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced claims professional to investigate, evaluate, and resolve complex Specialty claims with minimal supervision. You will manage full claim life cycles, ensure timely and accurate coverage analyses, and collaborate with counsel, experts, and partners to deliver optimal outcomes.

The role emphasizes advanced negotiation, strong communication, and deep insurance knowledge across commercial lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 10+ years claim handling experience with 5-7 years handling serious injury and complex liability claims.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial lines products and liability/coverage analysis.
• Advanced negotiation and customer service skills.
• Strong litigation management and knowledge of state/federal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate and reserve assigned complex Specialty claims.
• Provide quality claim handling through all life cycle stages and comply with standards.
• Serve as expert technical resource to claim professionals, partners and insureds.
• Directly handle severe claims and develop litigation plans with counsel.
