Job summary

Travelers is seeking an experienced claims professional in New Jersey to investigate, evaluate and resolve complex specialty claims. You will manage the full claim life cycle with a focus on timely coverage analysis, strategic negotiations and regulatory compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of bodily injury claim handling, including complex liability. Expect collaboration across teams, advanced litigation skills, and strong analytical capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• 4+ years bodily injury litigation claim handling or comparable claim litigation experience.
• Advanced knowledge of coverage, liability and damages analysis; understanding of the litigation process.
• Strong negotiation and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Directly handle assigned severe claims and manage complex liability issues.
• Provide quality customer service with timely coverage analysis and clear communication with insured.
• Develop litigation plans and coordinate with counsel to ensure effective resolutions.
• Coordinate with internal/external resources for evaluation and subrogation as needed.
• Verify injuries and damages with documentation and records review.
• Maintain and organize claim files per established procedures.
