Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction, to lead Testing & Commissioning (T&Cx) activities for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP. You will drive estimates, schedules, and contract alignment across internal teams and customers, ensuring a unified commissioning baseline across all systems.

The role offers a fully remote or hybrid work model with regular in-office presence in the San Diego, CA office.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specs, and acceptance criteria.
• Proven ability to develop commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans with cross-functional teams.
• Strong PV, BESS, HV, and SCADA commissioning knowledge and hands-on execution.
• Lead cross-functional teams, identify scope gaps, and drive timely decisions.
• Excellent client-facing written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream from BD through LNTP, coordinating technical, commercial, estimating, and planning inputs.
• Integrate commissioning scope and schedules into project development and planning with Preconstruction and SMEs.
• Represent T&Cx in EPC reviews, identify obligations, milestones, and interfaces.
• Lead development of commissioning exhibits, scope language, and risk resolutions with stakeholders.
• Develop and present SOLV’s standard commissioning requirements to clients and align expectations.
• Maintain a commissioning requirements register with due dates and evidence for completion.
