Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager, Preconstruction to lead Testing & Commissioning (T&C) activities for PV, BESS, and HV from BD through LNTP.

The role requires coordinating technical, commercial, and planning inputs to deliver a unified commissioning baseline across all project phases. The position can be fully remote or hybrid with regular in-office presence in the San Diego, CA Office.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in commissioning utility-scale electrical or renewable-energy projects.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing EPC contracts, commissioning exhibits, specifications, and acceptance requirements and translating them into executable project commitments.
• Proven experience developing commissioning estimates, schedules, and plans, including coordination of internal teams, testing providers, OEMs, and project stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent relevant experience will be considered.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own the commissioning workstream during BD and through contract execution, serving as the primary T&C point of contact and coordinating inputs.
• Partner with Preconstruction and SMEs to integrate commissioning scope, estimates, schedules, and deliverables.
• Represent Testing & Commissioning during EPC contract reviews focusing on exhibits, specs, owner requirements, SOW, and vendor scopes.
• Lead development of commissioning plans, estimates, and schedules aligned with contract requirements.
• Maintain a commissioning requirements register linking obligations to deliverables, due dates, and evidence of completion.
• Write, review, and maintain project-specific commissioning plans and DOR during BD and LNTP.
